 SAID I WASN’T GONNA TO TELL NOBODY…..!

*Oh, give thanks unto the Lord!  Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!  Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of His wondrous works!  Psalms 105:1

*And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.”  But when they had departed, they spread the news about Him in all that country.  Matthew 9:30, 31

It’s hard to keep good news to ourselves, yet in this scripture, Jesus admonished the two blind men whose sight He restored to not tell anybody, but they just couldn’t keep it to themselves.  They had so much gratitude that they told everybody!

Our first scripture reminds us to share with others what the Lord has done for us.  When we are obedient in doing that,  it's like being a PR person for the Lord.  Since He is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11), it lets others know that “if He did it for me, He can do it for them.”  When we share our testimonies which glorify Him, we are also encouraging others to trust Him.  The added promise and blessing for us is that we “overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimonies.” (Revelation 12: 11a,b)

There is an “old school” song, Said I Wasn’t Gonna Tell Nobody,  that has been sung  by many groups over the years that embodies today's message. I have attached a YouTube link to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir’s rendition of this song. (If the link doesn't work, please go to YouTube for your self and cut & paste the link in the search bar. You will be blessed!)

Be encouraged to always be ready to share the goodness of our God with others!

Blessings!
