Fully God & Fully Man
Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When He appeared in human form, He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal's death on a cross. Philippians 2:6-8 (NLT)
The Oxford Dictionary defines fully as "completely, thoroughly, totally and in every respect". All of the things that Christ suffered during His 3 years of public ministry, He suffered as a human being. As a man, He was not immune to disppointment, lies, and the physical pain and torture He endured on His way to the cross.

We see both His humanity and His divine nature as He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane to the Father asking if He (Jesus) could avoid the suffering that was ahead of Him. There we see His humanity. When He refocused on His assignment in the earth and submitted to God's Will (John 3:15), we see His divine nature.
When we are going through tests/trials in our own lives *(we will surely have them), and it seems that God is not listening or answering, we would do well to reflect on the following scriptures. John 16:33 reads These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. Yes, our faith will be tested, but not one of us has been tested to the "shedding of blood" (Hebrews 12:4) like Jesus. Hebrews 4:14 (NLT) reads, This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all the same testings we do, yet He did not sin.
He hears. He always answers. He understands.
Be Encouraged!

*Dear friends, don't be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad---for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. 1 Peter 4:12
