"Trust In God" (Even when you don't understand!!)

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come...shall be able to separate us from the love of Christ Jesus our Lord.                                                                                                                           Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV)

There was a time when "church" was one of the places where one could feel relatively safe, irrespective of religious affiliation.  Christian churches, Temples, Synagogues, Mosques, etc. now seem to be fair game for murders and violence.

There was also a time when a parent dropping off a child to school did not have to be concerned about whether that child would get shot and killed at school...never to return home.

The scripture above is a strong declaration of faith and resolve, yet either one of these aforementioned scenarios would put that faith to a serious test.  Thankfully,  I have never suffered in either one of those ways,  however, I believe that one who does would understandably ask desperate questions like, "Why God?"  What did I do to deserve this kind of pain?  Sometimes His only answer is the same as His response when Paul asked Him to remove the thorn from his side.  "And He said to me [Paul], "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness... "  II Corinthians 12:9

I have learned during my faith journey that there are some questions that our Sovereign God may not answer.   That is when our faith and *trust in Him have to really amp up.  Our faith roots have to grow deep like those of an oak tree to anchor us, even when can't understand the what or why of what He allows.  He understands our grief, heartaches and disappointments because He suffered and experienced both.

Blessings.
