CHAMELEONS !?!?

 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.  Sanctify them by Your truth.  Your word is truth.  John 17: 16-17 (NKJV)

Chameleons are lizards with the ability to change or adapt themselves to blend in with whatever their surroundings might be (camouflage).  However, if one is professing to be a Believer and is easily influenced by the beliefs/opinions of whomever they are around at any given time, that is a spiritual concern. 

Merriam-Webster defines someone with a chameleon personality as having"a keen sense of observation and a strong desire for social acceptance...however, this adaptability often comes at the cost of expressing their authentic selves."

Although we live in this world, we are not of this world because our citizenship is in heaven. (Philippians 3:20).  We are just passing through. While we are here, we are to be His ambassadors, speaking His truth at all costs.  In the above verses, Jesus prayed for the disciples, but He did not stop there.  He also prayed for all Believers. I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word.  (Verse 20)   Salvation is His free gift to us, however, it cost Him His very life.  You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.  (Hebrews 12: 4)

Jesus was about His Father's business (Luke 2:49) and we are called to follow His example.  James 1:8 clearly states that "a double-minded man [is], unstable in all his ways.  May we be fully persuaded in what we profess (Jesus) and  NOT be double-minded.  Lives and souls are at stake.

PASSION WEEK/HOLY WEEK

No one can take my life from me.  I sacrifice it voluntarily.  For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again.  For this is what my Father has commanded.  John 10:17-18 (NLT)    This season is one of the most consequential & unforgettable periods of time in Christiandom.  A painful time which ends triumphantly! Passion Week or Holy Week began on Palm Sunday and continues to Resurrection Sunday/Easter.   Jesus, motivated by His love for us and desire to redeem us, suffered unbelievable torture and humiliation to pay our sin debt.   He who was without sin. * It is called Passion Week because Jesus was motivated by His passionate love for us and desire to provide a path back to a restored relationship with the Father through Him.  The Father loves me because I sacrifice my life so I may take it back again.
