DOES GOD ALWAYS HEAL?
Paul was given a "thorn in the flesh" to keep him from being puffed up or arrogant. Scripture tells us that he begged God three times to remove it (heal him). Scripture doesn't identify the nature of the thorn, but scholars agree that it was physical. Each time God's response was, "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness. ( 2 Corinthians 12:8 NLT ). In other words, God's answer was "No." Instead of having a pity party, Paul accepted God's answer, adjusted his attitude, and continued to allow the Lord to use him in ministry inspite of the his discomfort. Earlier this year, there was a young adult with whom I developed a really close relationship as she was going through a very challenging time with her health.
