IT'S A SETUP!!!

And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid.  Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today.  For the Egyptians whom you see today,  you shall see no more.  The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.                                                   Exodus 14: 13-14 (NKJV)


Perhaps you have been in a situation that seemed dire with no way out, just to watch God intervene and do what only He could do.  You were "set up" to witness and benefit from God fighting your battle for you.

When the children of Israel were trapped between Pharoah and his vast army on one side and the Red Sea on the other, the children of Israel were understandably petrified.  Moses responded with the instructions in the verses above which were to "calm down", say nothing and watch God fight for you.

Sometimes in our lives we can be faced with circumstances which are so overwhelming to our finite minds that we can't see a way out.  However, when we have come to the end of ourselves, that is God's good time to step in to save, heal, rescue, deliver, usually in ways that we could not even imagine.   That is the "set up" which can only increase our faith!  It is an opportunity for Him to fight for us while revealing that He is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.

PASSION WEEK/HOLY WEEK

No one can take my life from me.  I sacrifice it voluntarily.  For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again.  For this is what my Father has commanded.  John 10:17-18 (NLT)    This season is one of the most consequential & unforgettable periods of time in Christiandom.  A painful time which ends triumphantly! Passion Week or Holy Week began on Palm Sunday and continues to Resurrection Sunday/Easter.   Jesus, motivated by His love for us and desire to redeem us, suffered unbelievable torture and humiliation to pay our sin debt.   He who was without sin. * It is called Passion Week because Jesus was motivated by His passionate love for us and desire to provide a path back to a restored relationship with the Father through Him.  The Father loves me because I sacrifice my life so I may take it back again.
