MIRACLES! MIRACLES! MIRACLES!

For with God, nothing will be impossibleLuke 1:37 (NKJV)

Imagine that you are a *12 to 15 year old girl doing whatever "tweens" do, and you get an unexpected "visitor" who just pops in without using a door.  This visitor, Gabriel, tells you not to be afraid (Too Late!!), that God is really proud of you, and has chosen you to be the mother of Jesus!  (Luke 1:26-33). Mary was confused because even though she was engaged to Joseph, she had never been intimate with any man.  Gabriel went on to inform her that her elderly cousin, Elizabeth, who had been childless, was also pregnant (Luke 1:11-15).

Titus 2:1-5 admonishes the older, seasoned women to teach the younger women.  So, Mary immediately went to visit Elizabeth.  When Eilzabeth heard Mary's voice, her baby lept in utero and both Elizabeth and her baby were filled with the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:15).

Mary stayed through the rest of Elizabeth's pregnancy and delivery of her son, John.  This allowed young Mary to both be taught by Elizabeth and observe and prepare her for what was ahead for her as a mother-to-be.

APPLICATION:  God performed the miraclous in both of their lives. He is the same God and still performs miracles in 2022!   When we provide the faith, God does the rest!  May we have simple faith like Mary who was obedient even though she didn't have all the answers.  **"Faith is taking the first step, even though you don't see the whole staircase."  May we possess that "mustard seed" faith (Matthew 17:20) to "step out of the boat" (Matthew 14:29) of our comfort zones to allow
Go to do the miraculous in our lives.  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8

Blessings.

*Although the Bible does not specify her age, most Christian historians believe that Mary was between these ages at the conception of Jesus.
