God's Public Relations Team

 



And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.  
                                                                           Colossians 3:17 (NLT)

Every person who identifies as a Believer should  consider themself a member of the Lord's Public Relation Team.   First, lets clarify what a public relations person does.  According to www.learn.org, 'a public relations person creates favorble press & publicity for an organization or individual.'  

As we go about our daily lives, we become a walking advertisement, a billboard, or a living epistle of Who Christ is in our lives.  We are His hands and feet in the earth.  We are His ambassadors.  When we reveal or reflect His heart through our daily life decisions and interactions with others, we draw attention to Him (not us) as our Savior.  Consider the following scripture reference.  John 13:35 - By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. (ESV).The love that we show is a reflection of His love flowing through of us. 

May we take this calling/assignment seriously and never be found guilty of the following.  and who then turn away from God.  It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.  Hebrews 6:6  (NLT)

PASSION WEEK/HOLY WEEK

No one can take my life from me.  I sacrifice it voluntarily.  For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again.  For this is what my Father has commanded.  John 10:17-18 (NLT)    This season is one of the most consequential & unforgettable periods of time in Christiandom.  A painful time which ends triumphantly! Passion Week or Holy Week began on Palm Sunday and continues to Resurrection Sunday/Easter.   Jesus, motivated by His love for us and desire to redeem us, suffered unbelievable torture and humiliation to pay our sin debt.   He who was without sin. * It is called Passion Week because Jesus was motivated by His passionate love for us and desire to provide a path back to a restored relationship with the Father through Him.  The Father loves me because I sacrifice my life so I may take it back again.
