WHAT'S YOUR PRICE?!

There is a saying that asserts that every person has a price.  You just have to find it.'  If this is true, what is yours?

As followers of Christ, there is always a tug of war between good and evil.  The apostle Paul even lamented that there was always a war raging between his flesh & spirit.  Depending on your age, you may remember the cartoon with a character tryng to make a decision with an angel (adorned with wings & a harp) sitting on one shoulder and the devil (with pitch fork & horns) on the other shoulder both whispering in its ear.

There are famous people living and dead who are said to have "sold their souls to the devil" in exchange for fame, fortune, or whatever their definition of success happened to be.  In Greek mythology, Faust, a German astrologer is said to have sold his soul to the devil in exchange for knowledge and power.  Some are popular present day singers, actors, sports heros, etc. who are said to have made that deal also.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor llife, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.                    Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV). This is Paul speaking.

Back to the question.  How about you?  Is their anything that this world has to offer you that would be worth your soul?  Friendships?  Status?  Money?  Influence?...Hopefully, your answer is a resounding "No"!  When the enemy comes at us (and he will), we must remember that his mission is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).  We must not be ignorant of his devices being fully aware that one of his main tools is temptation. (1 Corinthians 10:13).

As Paul says in Romans 7: 24-25, "O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?  I thank God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

Amen & Blessings.
